Looking at the picture my guess is the cracks occurred when someone cranked the $%#! out of the lug nuts. Structurally this is the least important part of the rim. If these were mine I would slot the crack and have a welder (who knows what they are doing) weld them up. Grind them down nice, paint them, and drive on.
