that was the world record year for annual snow fall total at Mt Baker. we got 48 inches in one storm in Seattle. I was driving my WC52 with arctic cab that year and had it made for that storm. I was giving people rides around town and there was basically NO ONE on the roads. I was headed up Denny from Nickerson on empty roads and ran across the only other visible vehicle I had seen in a while and it was an M37! HIs eyes got real big and we gave each other the nod of approval. Odds are slim that you would see an M37 and a WC52 in downtown seattle on the same day. the 4 feet was starting to melt and the slush and water was so deep my tail pipe was submerged on many roads. I think the M37 and I were to best things to have in those conditions.
