The other day my fuel tank level got low, the fuel gauge was bouncing around the volt meter guage went nuts as well. dropped to 13 volts and then bounced right through the red- I have not seen that before and the voltage stayed at 14 once the tank was filled and climbed to 14.5 by time I got home.
My Chevy used to do that on the dash gauges I changed the voltage regular out for the dash and it went away. Some stuff is real sensitive to voltage fluctuations.
