Not much trouble at all. I had 2 3/8" thick plates welded to a spare Floating Power front engine mount which reached back 2" to the original frame mounts. Marked and drilled the hole in the plates and that part was done. I then cut a 3/8-24 threaded rod into 6 5"or 6" lengths. I then slipped the radiator on the outside of the radiator support . I threaded the 6 rods through the six radiator mounting nuts on the radiator support using lock nuts on both sides of the radiator support exactly 2" forward from where the original radiator would be mounted for the 23" motor. One thing which I did most people don't do when making this modification is I used a spare lower radiator air defector and bent it to match so it would not hit the lower front of the radiator. Most people leave this piece out and to me, it doesn't give the finished look that You see as found on the 23" motor set up. The side air deflectors required no modification and bolted right up. If you have done it right, the radiator neck and the elbow on top of the head will line up perfectly. The whole set up will just be 2" forward from where it was with the 23" motor. I'll see how I like the 25" 237 flathead as opposed to the 23" 230 flathead that was in it prior to the rebuild. TIme will tell, but as I have heard said, the 25" motors are a better choice if you are going to run at speeds of 55-60 for long periods of time. I have postwar 430 third members front and back and with the 900-16's I'm running on I needed a bit more torque to get me up moderate hills. The 230 even with a late 1957 8:1 ratio head left much to be desired. The 237 has been balanced, ported, the VPW high performance cam has been installed in it, a 1941 Chrysler "Spitfire" head has been used and the clutch and pressure plate balanced. Hope I get a bit more torque which is what I am after. If not, what the heck, the 25" motor looks a lot better in the engine compartment than the plain Jane 230. LOL?
