I have been planning to go hydraulic on the winch for a while, but I got to thinking that maybe shaft drive would be the way to go. I have the system all planned out, even bought a hydraulic motor, but my plan to use a surge tank as the reservoir has hit a snag - or more correctly the tank hits the 318 valve cover. I may raise the tank, or I may ditch the surge tank and use something else.
