Greg, I would think there would be a pillow block. Here are some pics of a 61-66 TWPW winch shafts with 2 pillow blocks coming from a 10 bolt PTO on the T-case. Hanging pedals off the firewall? The way the slave cylinders leak after awhile, it would be a pain getting to the master to fill and always carry a spare slave cyl. Hydraulic off a right hand PTO sounds good.
