I bought new in the crates GM military dana 60 front axle and corporate 14 bolt rear axle, the rear came with 4.56 gears and a locker and the front 4.56 gears and I installed a locker. The front was a bolt in and installed a dodge D60 straight steering arm with a ball and installed the drag link to it. The rear I just moved the spring perches out and bolted it up.
I didn`t want want front drums or an offset rear axle or 4.89 gears is why I switched axles. I had the whole driveline put together with a 440 auto and 205 but had to offset it to the pass side about 3" to clear the starter and I didn`t like that, so i`m going the big block chevy route to get the engine back in the center. I want something to drive more and maybe pull a little bit at the local pulls.
I don`t like small block mopars or cummins diesels so that doesn`t leave much, LOL.
