Ok I have a 51 PW and a WC53 steering box sitting in my garage. There are differences in the boxes. The WC box has a 4 1/8" offset from the inside of the frame to the center of the steering shaft. The PW box has an offset of 4 7/8". Additionally, the PW has a steering shaft diameter of .875" while the WC shaft has a diameter of 1.005".
The offset measurements are taken with a tape measure from the frame mating surface and eyeballing the center of the steering shaft. There could be an 1/8" of error getting the center of the shaft. If you need more precise let me know. But these measurements should help.
