My cylinders pump the bed up and pump it down. Dual acting cylinders and pump. Just use a spring loaded lever off the main frame and a 1" Pin hooked to it going thru the dump bed frame. On mine I have a lip on each side of the bed it drops into so it won't shift sideways with a load in it. I could just run the pin thru this steel lip and into the frame. You can see this in my pictures before I finished the dump bed box. I have thought about one myself but the bed is solid when down.
