The Titans of Mavericks surf competition in Half Moon Bay, Ca. Has the first women's competition there as well. Currently there is a "potential swell" rating, just shy of the green light "go".
Will be very interesting to see how they do. I grew up surfing the small beach just south of the harbor next to Mavericks when Mav's was a secret, with my first PW parked along hi way 1. My waves were "kiddy pool" compared to it, as well as the spots in and around Santa Cruz, the birth of Mainland surfing.
