I have a m37 speedo head in my wc12 at the moment. It's until I get another to replace it so I "borrowed" it from my m37. It's a known good working speedo.

Well it seemed to work fine the first drive around town, achieving 45-48 Mohamed keeping steady. From acceleration on they worked fine.

Yesterday coming back from a Veterans Day school program I noticed the needle jumping back and forth. At a steady 45 mph (est) the needle dropped to 25, bounced back to 45, and did this a couple of times, sometimes stopping at around 35, then back. Lower speeds from start seemed fine.

Now I got a brand new speedo cable installed too.

My question is what's happening? It's not outright failure. It's occational. Could it be the speedo unit in the transmission being the cause here?
