Unless the original pump/valve is one big integral unit, the valve is probably mounted right to the outlet of the pump or plumbed and mounted remotely. Unless the plow has down pressure, it probably has a single acting cylinder. You would probably want one, better yet, two double acting cylinders for angling. With no down pressure your valve probably will not accommodate additional cylinders for angling. Some valves can be ganged together to operate multiple cylinders and/or a "T" plumbed into the outlet of the pump with a separate leg going to each valve - one for lift and one for angling. And, you may be able to do what Ray recommended.

A picture of what you have would be worth a thousand words.

I believe some of the old Monarch Dyna-Might snowplow pumps were 6-volt. Here is a 12-volt for sale in the link below.
