The oil pump should be removed and primed by
Submerging it in oil if it was not done already.
I would take a cheap one gallon hand pump garden sprayer
Fill with oil and adapt the hose to a oil Galley in the block, by removing one of the plugs.
Hand pump until pressure shows on the gauge.
You can also remove the filter lid and manually fill the housing.
Remove sprayer and crank or start watching for oil pressure to rise.
