Can you remove cam w/ valves stuck?

How about heating the guides/area w/ acetylene torch?

Tap a sharpened screwdriver between tappet and valve?

Actually, the welding thing sounds best.

By the way, do you guys know there are valves with oversize stems? Old guides get reamed out oversize, stick in the bigger valve. Saves replacing gthe guides, you will need new valves any how.
