Hi all. Have a mystery to me at least. I started my FFPW with a 231 original motor to load on trailer. Loaded her up, then unloaded truck, total run time about 10-15 minutes. I let it sit for a few days. I checked the oil, which I do before every start, and noticed that there was water at the bottom of the pan showing on the indicator stick, about 1/4 inch showing. Clean separation, no "baby poop".
I immediately drained the water out of the pan, re filled radiator to point I could monitor. Let it sit for a week, no change in water level, oil still showing clean.
Do I have a cracked block or head? Bad head gasket? Where are they prone to cracking if so?
This is a mystery to me, as I have never seen a clean separation of water and oil in the pan.
Many thanks for your input!
