I think the leaky fuel line is hinting at something. Could the fuel line be getting kinked or pinched from chassis or body movement? I can't think of how but even a kinked return line might cause troubles. I know I get a fair amount of chassis flex off road and the cab does move a little. I would try a pressure gauge on the feed first them maybe install on the return line to see if it is getting back pressure. I know that true fuel pressure gauges typically have to have isolators for safety. I used a cheap boost gauge which also has negative and no isolator so they are only about $20. I figured diesel is safer than gasoline if the line leaks and also I don't even have a top for my truck so it wouldn't be confined if I have a leak. Probably will need a friend to ride and watch the gauge if you are climbing anything serious off road so you can watch the trail!!
