Hi Don:

Over the years, I've heard rumors of a 1/2 ton combat wheel (preproduction prototypes?) but have never seen one in person. Can you wire brush the dish and post on the Forum the Budd wheel model number stamped into the wheel? That would be a good start on cracking this nut.
