When I was a small kid, My dad found his long dead fathers old outboard tucked in the corner of my grandmothers cellar. He was determined to run it on the river one more time for nostalga.(my grandfather lived to fish the Susquehanna)Over that winter it got a restoration. At the time my mother worked 2nd shift and came home to it clamped to the back of a kitchen chair, ideling smoothly in the garbage can.(in the kitchen) once she cut her way through the blue haze, dad got an old fashoned ass chewing I thought was only used when the kid screwed up. Maybe thats why I never got that brother or sister! Moms eyes still roll when it comes up. I can now tell her the entire PW free world knows of it when I see her next. And Yes, Once a year, a father & son fish one day with pops old Evenrude on the river. I am sure up there he is smiling that day.
