Todd---The engine I chose was a motor home engine because of the heaver block. I bored the engine .040 over, installed a CRANE--Power-Economy cam, Headers, alunimum performer intake with Holley 4160 carb.I used JACOBS Electronics ignition system. I have Turbo mufflers with tail pipes exiting in front of the rear tires. This setup has consistently gotten between 9 and 10 MPG ,combined driving, and didn't change with the part time 4x4 set up. With 149K miles it still had the original front wheel bearings because I servised them regularly by simply greasing them with a grease gun. I replaced them when I went to part-time 4x4. You would be surprised at the number of people who didn't know about these grease fittings and that gave Dodge a bad name with front wheel bearings.
