I think I would opt for the 8ft utiline bed, and not bother with the frame or springs.
The 8ft utiline would be easier to come by, and you may find one in really nice shape.
What type tire would you use if you convert to W300?

Only the rear driveshaft is effected by the wheelbase, not the intermediate or front shaft.

I was thinking of dualling the Michelins, and running the rare dualley utiline fenders on this one pictured.
