Arron, If you were in my shoes & wanted to W300 the gunsmoke mobile, would you cut the frame & lengthen it, or find an 8' Utiline box like Freds? I combed over the frame....It's identical to the swb W300 frame, same size, same guage, same everything but it's longer. 6" not long enough though for the 9' box. I'd rather have moved the spring mounts back & added on to the frame at the back, but because of the narrowing of the frame just behind the front spring mount, it can't be done properly.
Question #2...does the rear drive shaft remain the same on the Crew cab or does the transfer case move towards the front so you don't end up with a 20'long front drive shaft? On the swb W300, the transfer case is stradling the rear cab mounts, would this be true on the Crew cab as well? Does this make sense to you? Boy I appreciate all the help....what did we ever do without computers hey? I guess some modern technologies are good after all!
