I found that both the 61 W300 single cab and 68 W300 Crew Cab measured aprx 5' from the edge of the running board to the rear axle center.

Then I measured the W300 Crew Cab wheelbase and found it to be 165". Considering this,
I do not think that the 9' bed will fit the D300 w/159" wheelbase.

I was wrong in assuming that the lwb W300 Crew Cab had the 159" wheelbase. There are only two such trucks to refer to at this time in the US. I need to ask Allen Fuller to measure the wheelbase on his 1964 W300 lwb CC.

Why not simply check the wb on the data plate? The (3) W300 Crew Cabs that I have/had show the wb data as std 133", since the W300 frames started life as such, then were stretched by the factory to fit a crew cab body.

MN - I posted the 128" wb of the D200/W200 as this is the info I found in Don Bunn's Dodge Pickups book that I have had for years.
So tonigth I will check my 1965 Dodge Service Manual frame Dim. chart and see how it reads.
