My motors manual shows no rear cam brg, but it doesn't show any oil galley to it either.(drip fed from lifter 'pools'?) If there is no pressurte feed to it, it can't cause low pressure by wear. Any body got a bare block laying around to look at? If it does get worn, I'd think a decent machine shop can bore it out for a bearing, they line bore cams all the time.

Re: pressure spring- the only way a new one will raise low oil pressure is if the old one is so soft it opens too low, thereby lowering the max pressure to, say, less than 20 psi. The relief valve only sets the max pressure, won't help worn bearings or a worn pump to raise the low pressure at idle.
