Try loosening the gas cap so air can get in the tank. Its possible you have a restriction
in the gas cap vent not letting air in the tank and a vacuum develops. Usually this problem will eventually shut down the engine, but if the vent hole was only partially closed, maybe your type of issue could surface.
Easy enough to check, just loosen the gas cap and go for a drive. If that solves the problem, buy a new cap.
