Could have been worse, just a couple stitches

Got my thumb wound into the lathe. Gash and tip joint bent sideways, Xrays show no break. Doc could not get the suture needle through the hard thumb nail, so super glue there. I suspect long term funky nail, and moderate term strain damage.

Good thing it's in the hand with the severed carpal tunnel nerve, it's numb all the time anyhow.

Maybe I should finish my ER Visit poem. Refrain will be:

Good as new
In a week or two.
Thisminjury is not supposed to bother the impending knee replacement operation- unless it gets infected maybe?

I'm scheduled to see Dr. Kniepane Tuesday for last pre-op.
