Hello Chris,
Yes, I will be installing the radiator on the outside of the radiator support about 2" using some threaded rod spacers, nuts and bolts. A gentleman I know did it this way on his WC 1/2 ton. He also was able to use the original lower radiator air deflector by bending the upper portion of the deflector so it would not hit the radiator core. I will be using a spare deflector for this as I am keeping all the 230 mounting hardware to return it to stock along with the motor should I or a later owner decide to re-engine it back with the 230. The 236 has been rebuilt with the VPW high lift cam, a 241 Chrysler Spitfire head, ported and balanced. The clutch and flywheel have been balanced also. I hope it will be a smooth runner. Hopefully, it will give me a bit more torque to climb moderate hills being that my truck is running post war 430 third members and 900-16 tires.
