Well, as you have said the 67 will have many "upgrades" over the 49. I guess it all depends on what your looking for and what you want to do with it? Do you plan to keep it stock? There are several upgrades available for these trucks, so you can modify them as you see fit. Do you plan an engine swap? How and where do you plan to drive it? These things top out around 45-50mph.
If you just want to get in and drive it, get the restored one. If you want a project, get the 67. Prices are all over the board. So much depends on completeness and condition. Do some homework on ebay for completed auctions to get a feel for prices actually paid.
I'm nearing the end of my resto/mod 55. It was quite a bit more work than I anticipated but I was looking for a project anyway. It has been a lot of fun and the guys on this forum are the best and will help you get over any humps you come across.
