Think shift boot thickness. None of the options I've seen will work and it's such a complicated item I would be surprised if it has been reproduced. I have a rough one somewhere. If I can find it I'll take a picture.
People have found a number of solutions from filling in the hole so a more conventional grommet could be used to making some piece of rubber from another application work in the stock hole.
I assume the large grommet was used to allow more flex, but there might be some other reason.
