Vpw does oversize shoes. If I understand correctly, they need to be arched to match drums (?). Local shops in the gorge won't do it because of legalities - they told me it was banned because of asbestos back in the day and the rules remain. I'm not doing that with mine but I asked because I hadn't heard of using thicker shoe material.
You might give fleetpride a call about options. Portland number is 503 283 4165. Dan Anderson is handling a set of shoes for me this week - their guys seemed familiar with PWs. PotterWebster was also recommended, but I went with fleetpride after hearing good things.
If you do need drums, let me know and I'll see if I have any decent drums on the parts trucks.
