Well, I am up and going finally. Still having a power issue but I noticed that by boost gauge says ZERO. It works off of the MAP sensor so I am guessing that is my culprit. Gonna pull it off tonight and see if it is just a bad ground...or I got a bit sloppy with the painting!! This is where having the diagnostic port would be handy...at least I would know what all was throwing codes. I have all of the wires highlighted in the FSM diagrams, just need to dig through my pile of stock harness on the shop floor and find the port itself. I still can't tell if the TC is locking up so I installed a switch in the dash to override the computer for the TC lockup, Just need to get the wire located so I can tap it. I figured out the speedo, as usual, it was a ground issue. Works like a charm. Now that it is working, I am going to fiddle with the cruise control. It would be nice to have, but the food position and pedal feel lets you just "lock in" your ankle to cruise...not to mention the Cummins doesn't need near the pedal input to maintain speed. Electricals have been the biggest challenge by far. The transfer case "hybrid" was as easy as marking out the Dodge shaft to use the Chevy tone ring, then cutting the snap ring grooves. I used an abrasive wheel but a lathe would have been a bit cleaner. Then you just use the tail cone assembly from the Chevy case.

Overall I am very happy with the conversion, or I should say I WILL be happy with it once I get all of these issues figured out. Anyone thinking about doing the 24V swap is welcome to email me and we can talk. The mechanicals are the easy part and I had the motor in place in a couple of days. FYI, the rear driveshaft from a single cab long bed Dodge 2500 4x4 truck was perfect with my motor position. The stock Chevy is residing up front but should really be about 1" longer, it would be no bueno if it was used with a live axle and needed to be able to telescope.
