As some of you know, I'm working away restoring this 52 Autocrar & although I thought it would be no different than restoring a PW...I was wrong. It's a huge job & everything is gigantic. You have to think 4 steps ahead to find innovative ways to lift things...even simple things like pulling off a drum...they don't just slide off & when you do invent a puller...they're 200lbs ea & so it takes a bit of thinking to get things back together nicely :)
My lasted thing is pulling the heads on the big 855ci Cummins & I needed a big torque wrench to torque them back down. Since they get torqued to 285ft/lbs...needless to say, my 1/2" Snap on wrench is not going to cut it. I hate crappy tools & so I decided it was a good time to buy a new 3/4" wrench but a good Snap on, Mac, Matco, proto...they're like $1200!
So I go on EBay of course! $300 later I'm all fixed up with no less than a Cummins torque wrench! :)
It's a sign! That's what I told the wife anyway :)
