We've all mixed and matched engine components. We would know if there were two different crank lengths.

How about posting these meaqsurements, so we can Virtually compare:

1) Thickness of disc
2) Ht of pressure plate fingers with loose plate on flat surface
3) length of TO brg, from fork surface to finger surface.

AAAAND another point, and a bigie- The way you have had to wrestle that ranny in and out, you may have bent the disc. In which case it will not release all the way, even with maximum stroke. Hard to shift that way. I used to put discs on the brake lathe. Maybe you can slip it onto the trany shaft, while granny out? Turn it with tranny in neutral?
