back up light switch

What can I do for a back up light switch? My 67 WM300 has a port on the tranny top for a switch. The other syncro trans year trucks don't have the port. What can be done on the 56-66 year trucks to serve as a switch? A manual one on the dash or what short of machining a port on a non port top??
