There seem to be quite a few slight variations in the same basic thing. If an available mount could be made to fit just by drilling new holes in the bracket(s), that's what I'd do. Like you said it's hard to measure the bolt spacing exactly on the truck because stuff is in the way, but I compared that 2018 mount to a spare bracket I had sitting around and it fit.
