I add zinc to my oils, but not much is needed.
1% is equal to 10,000ppm
In a 5 quart system, you have 160 oz. thus 1% is 1.6 oz.
To achieve 1250ppm .2 liquid oz. 100% pure zinc is needed.
If your additive is 50% pure double the amount, and that is in addition to what has been blended into the stock oil.
