Well here in the west desert we are paying for a record wet winter and super wet spring. Granted it was beautiful in the spring with all the wild flowers and green grasses but now it has dried and I am surrounded by 3 to 4 foot tall grass and 5 to 6 foot sage and grease wood that is very thick. This fire is just over the mountain from me about 10 miles from me as the crow flies. winds are forecast for the next 2 days and temps close to 100 degrees. I am prepared as much as I can be but many of my neighbors are not.
