Nope. The beauty of an oil finish like danish oil is you never have to strip the object to refinish. All you do is add more oil. I have created some superb finishes with Danish oil. Wet sanded the wood with Danish oil, let it set and then wiped off anything left on the surface. You can create one of the most beautiful finishes to be seen with the oil but it is not a fast process. But it is not an exterior finish.
I have had good luck with some Marine grade Urethanes.
Yep stay away from the zinc bolts, most are pooh anyway. All of the zinc bolts on my carryall are now rusted. That happened in 6.5 months and 2000 miles of driving. I am replacing anything noncritical with stainless
