I just installed my turn signal switch and light switch (same light switch you use). Do your cowl lights stay on when you use your headlights? Mine turn off?

I am using my cowl lights as turn signals and would like them to be running lights when the head lights are on. I have amber dual filament bulbs in the cowl lights. When in the "park" mode, they work great. Just checking...
