You can make a spacer as a quick fix to get you to the parade. I am guessing it would have to be about 1-inch thick. As T-roy showed you, there is a major difference between the military pintle and the civilian pintle. Sounds like you got sold a military pintle which you have found out will not open when installed on a civilian Power Wagon. I would not mount one upside down if it were me.
