Interestingly enough I came to that decision a while back myself only for a little different reason. I have a 410 Homelite since almost the time they came out and was a real good saw. Our Truck companies (PFB) even used them. Very reliable.

About 3 years ago mine quit while in use like you shut it down. Was the ignition module but no longer available. I now need a saw so decided I would buy new. Turns out I also need a couple lawn mowers. I was going to fix my rider and buy a new walk behind since they can be had fairly reasonable.

About that time my wife and I are talking wills and where things and any $$ would go. Turns out not many in our families we feel would do very well with anything of much value. At about the same time I was awarded 100% VA disability. Not what I looked forward to but it is what it is and deal with it. Our choice? Start spending it.

I decide the heck with fixing something I would really rather not work on so I am getting 2 new mowers and commercial chain saw. Husqvarna had what seemed the best for me although Stihl was certainly in the running at least for the saw. Most of my logging buds use Stihl but a couple have Huskys and are happy with them.

I order all that from the local Coastal and it takes quite some time. I really needed the saw. Eventually the walk behind and saw come in. Their policy is to start equipment before it was out the door but this had just come in when I happened to call so let me take it out in the box.

Get it home, saw together and only one small pop. Won't start. Walk behind together and fires second pull and runs, mows great. Got the rider several days ago and same deal, everything I expected.

Saw goes back to Coastal and after 2 guys not getting a pop including using a puff of starting fluid it gets sent to the service center. Get a call 2 days all fixed and ran great. Go pick up and I say I want to start it and make sure it runs. One good pop and no start while they were watching. The guy that started it when it came back couldn't get a pop. He said it fired right up second pull Service center said it fired right up for them and they didn't do anything to it.

Coastal agreed it likely was not flooded and should run. I told them I think I probably want Husky to send a another new saw out because this one seems to have issues. They are going to try for that. We shall see. I still need the dang saw!!
