WCs and PWs have a fairlead at bottom of winch spool. you can run cable under truck past the fairlead then under the axle housings, the axle housings are smooth and cable wont get damaged sliding across them. works great done it quite a few times. comes in handy when you cant turn around to pull other rigs up a steep trail. I had to pull 4 up a section of the Nachese trail using that method one time.
