I knew the M37s always had PCV for fording purposes, but I didn't think most civilian vehicles went to PCV until required to by smog laws. My 62 1-ton has a road draft tube on the slant 6, and I'm pretty sure neither of my sno-cats has PCV. But they also have the crash-box tranny and were 6V initially.
