Hmmm, well after thinking about it, I went out chained the truck to a stump, and reeled all but the last five wraps off the drum. With the engine off I can drag the truck all four tires sliding not locked up, but not rolling freely, for the whole 75' (estimated) feet of the cable, then start the truck and drive away. At the very last the winch seemed to be going slower, but, it was still pulling. Battery and cables get warm doing this, but don't we where it warm enough to hurt anything.
