AGREED on both comments. Right after I posted I thought, "Nuts! forgot to qualify statement by disavowing any affection for the wheels, wooden running boards and wooden bumper.
There is a historical precedent however...
During the scrap drives during WWII, many people donated expendable steel parts on their vehicles e.g. running boards and bumpers, replacing them with wood. That said, this truck would look even better with proper wheels, running boards and rear bumper.
