You mentioned that you rebuilt the pony motor on your D2 and it was easy. It's looking like I need to do the same with my D4 -- too many things wrong to just leave it on the machine and change the front bearing by itself. Where did you get the parts? It's not like you can just call up rock auto and get an overhaul set for one of these things. I'm finding bits and pieces on ebay, but not everything. Figure I at least need all gaskets, rear crank bearing (got the front), and rings and rod bearings. Hopefully no valves or machine work needed. Got lots of in and out play on the crank, coolant in one cylinder, exhaust pipe cracked from its flange on one cylinder, not much compression, and everything encased in dirt and grease.
