I can understand it if your kid or wife had cancer and the colour made them happy but that is about the only rational I can see. Tilt hoods- I hate them, until I have to work on the engine, at which point tilt hoods and I get along just fine.
A pink power wagon with rose fenders and deep red wheels might work. But for a hood orpiment you would need a"my sweet pony" or a barbie doll.
