i was lucky found a NOS dodge command car tank when i did my restoration. I had it renued at a known professional shop. it will never rust and has been great since i had it done in 1996. i can imagine a situation where you'd spend money on doing it professionally to protect a rare tank, but i do not believe anything you do at home would be better than a new tank or a renued tank. the renu process is multistep, commercial materials and baked on. the home stuff is sloshed in and around.....
