I drive my '62 WM300 w/251 engine and 4.89s at 55 mph on the highway with balanced Power King bias tires. After the tires warm up and the flat spots soften, it's a nice ride. 55 is plenty fast with stock brakes, and I'm much happier driving at 45 mph. If I'm in a hurry, I take the other truck.
