John S. heated the manifold with a torch on each end of the rod. Applied lot's of wax, Kroil, and PB Blaster. We tapped the shaft from side-to-side with a punch to free it up in the bushings. Once we got it moving freely from side-to-side, we were able to get it to rotate. If you have worked on one of these before, you know how rare it is to fix without breaking. Whatever you do, don't just hit the adjusting plate. It will strip from the shaft. New life for this old manifold that will be used to replace a cracked one. Fun stuff.
