The showed off a prototype many years ago that was heavily based on the original PW, like most things ideas were used in the RAM re-design but way toned down.
I don't think you'll see anything quite like it. Crash requirements killed it the first time, not to mention the packaging requirements. Outside of the Wrangler that type of vehicle just won't be popular enough to justify production. They'd be better off building the Wrangler pickup they keep teasing, at least it has a market and a shared base platform.
